Institute Innovation Council

The Institution Innovation Council (IIC-AOT) at Academy of Technology was established under the initiative of the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell to promote a culture of innovation, ideation and entrepreneurship among students.

Major Focus Areas of IIC-AOT

Building a vibrant innovation ecosystem within the campus
Encouraging participation in national innovation challenges, idea competitions, and hackathons organized by government bodies (e.g., AICTE) and industries
Strengthening life skills and entrepreneurial mindsets by organizing regular events and workshops that foster innovation, leadership, soft skills, and a positive outlook among students

Key Functions of IIC at AOT

IIC-AOT organizes activities throughout the year in alignment with MIC’s national calendar. Its key functions include:

Organizing Innovation and Entrepreneurship Activities: Conduct innovation challenges, workshops on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), and entrepreneurship seminars for students and faculty
Identifying and Recognizing Innovation: Acknowledge and showcase impactful projects and ideas developed by students and faculty
Facilitating Industry Interaction: Host expert sessions with entrepreneurs and startup leaders in collaboration with the institute’s Entrepreneurship Development (ED) Cell
Promoting Innovation Visibility: Maintain and update a repository of student- and faculty-led innovations and R&D projects
Conducting Mini-Challenges: Organize campus-wide competitions to develop and test innovative ideas with real-world impact
