Eligibility For Admission

B.Tech Courses

To apply for the four-year B.Tech degree courses at Academy of Technology (AOT), candidates must meet the following criteria:

Educational Qualification:

Candidates must have passed the Higher Secondary (10+2) or an equivalent examination from the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or any other recognized board/university.
The qualification must conform to the norms set by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board (WBJEEB).

Admission Criteria: Admission will be based on merit, determined by the candidate’s rank in either of the following exams:
1. WBJEE (West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination) or
2. JEE Main (All India Joint Entrance Examination).

Management Quota: As per State Government directives, up to 10% of the total seats will be filled under the Management Quota in selected streams (CSE, CSE(AI&ML), CSBS, ECE).
TFE Quota: 5% of the seats will be reserved for candidates under the Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme (TFW) as per government regulations
EWS Quota: 10% of the seats will be reserved for candidates under the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) quota as per government regulations.

Lateral Entry for Diploma Holders:

Diploma holders in Engineering/Technology can apply for admission into the 3rd semester (2nd year) of the B.Tech course, based on merit in the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination for Lateral Entry (JELET).
The number of lateral entry admissions will not exceed 10% of the approved intake for each course.

Physical Fitness: All candidates must meet the required standards of physical fitness, ensuring good physical and mental health.

MCA Course

To apply for the MCA (Master of Computer Applications) course, candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria:

Educational Qualification: Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree under the 10+2+3 system, with Computer Science or Mathematics as one of the subjects at the degree level.
Admission Criteria: Admission will be based on the merit position in the Joint Entrance Examination for Admission to Master in Computer Applications (JECA) conducted by the State Joint Entrance Board.
Physical Fitness: Candidates must meet the stipulated physical fitness standards, ensuring they are in good physical and mental health.
